**Statement.** Can cars drive themselves safely everywhere people drive?

Driverless taxis operate commercially in several cities, with published safety records that compare favorably with human drivers in those areas. Driving everywhere, in all weather and without detailed maps, is not achieved.

Closed 2020 onward, driverless commercial robotaxi service in limited cities.
